Matchday Insights

SoccerScanner tracked 106 completed matches at 2.62 goals per game. Over 2.5 landed in 50.9% of fixtures, Over 3.5 in 26.4%, and both teams scored in just 35.8% — a quieter BTTS rate than the open late-game picture suggested. Closing stages dominated the narrative: 38 games (35.8%) produced a goal after the 80th minute, and 42 (39.6%) after the 75th. Khaitan’s Kuwait Division 1 draw flipped from 1–0 at the 80th to 2–2, Jong PSV overturned a 1–2 scoreline to beat FC Volendam 3–2 in Netherlands Eerste Divisie, Chicago Fire turned a 1–1 North & Central America Leagues Cup contest into a 3–1 win over Santos Laguna, and Slavia Sofia added two late goals in a 0–3 Bulgaria First League win at Botev Vratsa after leading only 0–1 at the 80th.

Goal volume clustered hard away from the biggest European leagues. Kazakhstan Womens Championship led the board at 5.2 goals across five matches (Over 2.5 in 80%). Bulgaria First League was the standout men’s sample at 4.4 goals over five fixtures — every game Over 2.5, BTTS in 60%, and late goals in 60%. North & Central America Leagues Cup averaged 3.4 across five ties (Over 2.5 and BTTS both 60%, late goals also 60%), while Chile Primera Division posted a perfect Over 2.5 rate across seven matches at 3.14 goals per game and late goals in 57.1% of that round. Belarus Pershaya Liga sat closer to the global mean at 2.67 over six fixtures, yet still saw late goals in half of them. Among other late-heavy boards, Ukraine Premier League produced a late goal in 75% of a four-match sample.

The quieter end of the slate told a different story. Uzbekistan Pro Liga managed only 1.25 goals over four games, and England Non League Div One: Northern Midlands sat at 1.33 across three fixtures — sharp contrasts to the open Bulgarian and Chilean boards. Zero-goal or near-blank regional samples that could not be tied cleanly to a single country were set aside.

Expected-goals rows that cleared quality checks were scarce once missing zeros and impossible twenty-plus figures were discarded. Usable chance shares still told a clear finishing story: Slavia Sofia won 0–3 at Botev Vratsa in Bulgaria First League despite the hosts holding 2.13 xG to 0.23, while Jong PSV’s 3–2 Netherlands Eerste Divisie win over FC Volendam came from a 2.01 vs 0.18 xG split. In North & Central America Leagues Cup, América and Portland Timbers combined for 4.65 xG and 4 goals. Team rows showing zero xG against multi-goal tallies, or thirty-plus xG for a single side, were ignored as broken or incomplete data.

Shot data underlined the same finishing swings. Across the full day it took 2.68 shots on target per goal (746 on target, 278 goals), and 12 sides registered 10+ shots on target. Kyzylzhar W posted 16 on target and 3 goals away in Kazakhstan Womens Championship; Kairat W turned 14 on target into 6 goals in the same competition; Rosenborg II converted 12 on target into 7 goals at home to Ranheim II in Norway 3. Division - Group 2. Conversion leaders included Huehuetecos (3 from 3 on target, 100%), plus General Caballero JLM, Molodechno-DYuSSh 4, Gomel II, and Karpaty — each at 75% from four shots on target in Paraguay Division Intermedia, Belarus Pershaya Liga, and Ukraine Premier League. Blank boards included TransINVEST Vilnius (4 on target, 0 goals) in Lithuania A Lyga and several Norway / Slovenia junior sides that peppered the target without scoring.

Form runs kept pointing forward in Norway’s third tier. Lillestrøm II arrived on 12-match Over 2.5, BTTS, scoring, and conceding sequences before a 2–1 defeat at Skjetten, who themselves carried a 12-match scoring streak. Ranheim II and Strømsgodset II each sat on 12-match conceding runs, while Sirius extended a 12-match scoring sequence with a 2–2 draw against Brommapojkarna in Sweden Allsvenskan.

Overall, it was a compact, late-game session with a modest marketplace edge — Bulgaria and Chile carrying perfect Over 2.5 samples, Kazakhstan lighting up the women’s board, and one short winning filter doing enough to keep the settled book green.
